This weeks highlights… For ME!!

Well this week seems to be semi busy for me which makes a change, and a few highlights which are making the week a little better than normal…!!!

My 1st highlight was yesterday, Monday 18th November as I had the day off work after a night in Leeds on Saturday with the girls.  My Monday consisted of a pj day and just chilling.

2nd highlight of this week is today, LOOK Tuesday, its sad to say but I do look forward to reading it all week.  It’s just a good read jam packed with fashion, latest trends, beauty and real life.

The 3rd highlight of this week for me is FRIDAY, as its PAYDAY and its time to start the crimbo shopping, and treating myself a little of course??  I mean surely I deserve it after I’ve actually worked all the hours to earn the money..!?  There are two particular items which I have had my eye on for a while, which I’m hoping to bag on Friday, One is a Bambi Givenchy inspired jumper from Primark at a bargin price of £10. The other is a Navajo knit from TU by Sainsbury’s, this was pictured in LOOK 2 weeks ago worn by Louise Redknapp.

My final highlight of this week for me will be Saturday, as I start my Christmas temp job at New Look it’s only 4 hours a day but I’m quite looking forward to it but nervous at the same time, even though I have worked in retail before it’s been a good few years..!!
The only thing that I’m sort of stressing about is what to wear..??? This is the outfit I think that I’m going with as it smart, casual, warm & comfortable…

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes… but not quite Imelda Marcos… Yet!!

I’m not quite sure how and where my love or should I say obsession for shoes comes from.  I remember from an early age, clonking around in my nan’s kitchen wearing her shoes, that made me a happy little girl..

I’ve selected a few pairs of my shoes to show you, 3 pairs of which I haven’t worn as yet (this is a habit of mine where I buy them and the don’t wear them for a while..) And a pair I brought this weekend while in Leeds.

I’m not one to usually buy Primark heels , but within the last month I have brought two pairs which have been right little bargains at £6 each.  These are pictured below the ones on the left are my most recent purchase, which I brought while in Leeds on Saturday.

I have a small selection of Nine West shoes, when I stay small collection I mean 2 pairs.  Again both bargains not quite as cheap as £6, but both were under £30. The Black Bow Patent heels were £29.99 from TK Maxx, I brought these a few months back but have yet to wear them. The pair on the right, Red and Black snake skin are about 5 years old now, have been worn a few times, comfortable to wear. I got these when I was in Glasgow for a weekend and I brought them for £20..

image I would love to one day own a designer pair of shoes, like Gucci, YSL, Tabitha Simmons, Louboutins, DKNY, or Chanel.  But at the moment this is still on my bucket list. I do own a pair of Guess shoes which I brought from TK Maxx, I brought these for £34.99 so a right little bargain for Guess, not quite designer but I would class Guess as top end high street..??
The shoes in the bottom picture are from Dorothy Perkins. What I love about these are the Red soles, these were a sale purchase a few years back now but still a bargain.. And yes neither pairs have been worn as yet..!!!

Well I hope you have enjoyed this post, and have enjoyed me showing you a few pairs of my shoes…

Happy reading

Skint till payday & Window Shopping….

We all window shop right…?

I would have to say this is one of my many pass times throughout the month, it’s all I can do really..!!  Once payday hits and the bills have been paid and other expenses there isn’t much left in the kitty to splash out and treat myself to the things I really want…. I do try really hard once I’ve been paid to make it last me till the next payday rolls around but some how this never happens, I’m either agreeing to a night out or in town spending it…

I try not to ‘Browse’ round the shops as I get easily tempted, instead I flick through the latest LOOK Mag or LOOK Mag tweets on a daily basis isn’t as tempting to buy as it would be if I was physically browsing in the shops, I just share what I like on Instagram for my followers to see what I’ve found…

Sun 3rd November was one of those days, where LOOK Mag tweeted – ‘Primark New: Lets see what’s just hit the stores’ dropped on to my newsfeed.  I opened up the tweet and started scrolling the pictures, as I do I’m ‘awww’ & ‘ahhh’ at some of the pieces, I take screen shot of the ones I like and share them on Instagram, I have also pictured some below of my likes…

I will confess I do have a little weak spot for Primark, but I have found that some of their prices seem to be creeping up a little, or is that just me..???  These are some of the ones that caught my eye, lets hope maybe just maybe they will be in store when I go in next…  Fingers crossed..

Everyone LOVES Sparkle ✨✨

Now what girl doesn’t love a bit of sparkle..?

Now me personally, I have grown into my feminine side, yes I know that sounds bizarre but its true!

When I was younger I wasn’t a tomboy as such but enjoyed playing sports and watch many different types, which I still do now but not as much…

I first found Tahlias Closet, a cute little boutique Jewellery shop based in Peterborough in 2012 and I’ve been hooked ever since!!!  Natasha the owner is so friendly & helpful .  Always wears amazing outfits and finishes them off with stunning pieces of jewellery from Tahlias Closet.

This is where my user name ‘cursed with an expensive taste’ comes into action.  The jewellery is just beauitful and there is some elegant pieces in the shop and online. I am always looking on the website, twitter, Instagram or pop in to the shop, i just can’t get enough of the pieces and sparkle.

At the minute the two pieces i love are the

AMARA Bracelet £19.00  http://tahlias-closet.co.uk/shopping/index.php/bracelets/yellow-amara-bracelet.html

CARMEL Bracelet £28.00  http://tahlias-closet.co.uk/shopping/index.php/bracelets/gold-carmel-bracelet.html, both are featured on the website along with some other fabulous sparkle…

Well I hope you have all enjoy my 1st Blog post, i have enjoyed writing it about Tahlias Closet, so why not go and take a look at the website, follow on Twitter and add on instagram
