Sherdian Smith 34, is an OBE English actress. She is perhaps best known for her roles in The Royle Family (1998) from 1999-2000 were she played Emma, Anthony Royle’s (Ralf Little) girlfriend, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (2001), again playing Janet, Ralf’s girlfriend, and Rudi in three series of Gavin & Stacey (2007).
She has most recently starred in television dramas like Mrs Biggs, for which she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for playing Ronnie Biggs’ wife, The 7.39 and Cilla, where she played Cilla Black. In 2015 she starred as cancer patient Lisa Lynch in the one-off BBC drama the C Word and the most recent as policewomen Jo Gillespie in the ITV drama Black Work.
I can honestly say that in the last four dramas that Sheridan has starred in have been great performances by her and has made them a good watch. The C Word drama was one that hit home for me and brought back memories or how it was when my dad got diagnosed with 5 different types of cancer and seeing that person you love so much go through that, it’s heartbreaking.
I’d just like to say a massive well done to Sheridan who takes these roles on and makes them here own and produces great results at the end of it.. I’m looking forward to the next drama your going to be in…
