Since the 2nd week of January I’ve got back into reading.. I tend to go through periods where I’m reading and the go 6 months without reading.
I selected the above six books to read for the next few months. Out of the above I have read Entwined with you and Captivated by you which were both quite good, they are along the same lines as ‘fifty shades of grey’. After I finished reading those books, I picked up ‘The book of you’ while I was in WH Smith on saturday and after reading the back it sounded a good read so I borrowed it from work and started to read it, it is quite a good book but I’ve had spells where I’ll read a few pages and then won’t pick it up again, I didn’t think it was a sort of book I would read while I was on holiday, so I started to read ‘No-one ever has sex on a Tuesday’ which is quite funny, but again I started to read the book while I was on holiday and I’ve read a few chapters and then put it down and haven’t picked it up since.
But I have found the reading bug again and since Sunday 23rd August I have picked up ‘The book of you’ again and getting back into the book, and I am aiming to finish it by the end of August… Wish me luck!
I have many books laying round the house which I have to read and I have also seen some others on Amazon which I want!
Hope your all having a great Tues-day
Ciao for now
Step into ICEBAR LONDON, a cold sensory experience where the walls, bar, tables and even your own personal glass are made from crystal clear Torne River ice which is harvested from the pristine winter wonderland of Jukkasjärvi in Northern Sweden.
Myself and 2 friends visited the Ice Bar on Friday 21st August, none of us had been before so we thought we would give it a try. We pre booked which worked a little cheaper than it would be if you paid on the day, in the price you get your 1st drink free. It’s not a big space and if you got too many people in their it would just be to busy, we were ok as we were booked on the 1st session at 1:15 and their was about 9 of us in there which was just right.
Cheryl enjoyed her glass too much!!!
ICEBAR LONDON is operated in 40 minute time slots and you will be given a designer thermal cape with a hood and gloves to keep you warm during your visit. There isn’t a great deal to do apart from drinking cocktails in -5c and taking pictures with some of the sculptures in there, the length of time you get is just about right but if you want to get out earlier then you can by pressing an exit button. I would say to go and try it as it is good, at the moment the theme is Frozen Food. Once a year the entire bar is completely transformed with a new design theme and layout by a team of skilled ice designers and sculptors, using new ice from the Torne River in northern Sweden, a source which has long been highly regarded for its unique purity. The next theme is coming in September 2015, so it will be good to see what theme they go for this time…
Hope you have enjoyed this post & hope you all have a great Saturday..
Ciao for now.

I had a lovely text from my good friend Cheryl yesterday asking what I was up to on Bank Holiday Monday? Id booked it off from New Look as I had worked the last 4 and didn’t really want to work the August on as I’ve said I would work on Crimbo Eve and also on Boxing Day all day!!!!
She asked if I fancied a going to a Champneys Spa Day at Henlow Grange Resort (a Georgian Grade II listed building) I was like yeah! A full day of pure relaxation at its best!!! And its an early birthday present for me… 🙂
Champneys is a well-known Spa brand, Champneys owns four spa resorts and six-day spas. The companies are owned by the Purdew family. They have a International College of Health & Beauty, in the grounds of the Tring resort in Hertfordshire, was founded in 1976 and offers both full-time and part-time courses.
I’m so excited to be going to Champneys Henlow, the facilities sound amazing. They have 25-metre swimming pool, Whirlpool, Female laconium, Female steam room, Thalassotherapy pool, Infrared booth, Gym. Bikes. I am also looking forward to lunch and a 55 mins Luxury Pedicure treatment..
All i can say is roll on BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY!!!!
Ciao for now..
I quite like my Friday nights in, a time to chill and relax after a busy week at work. I usually do one of a few things….
I’d had a pretty crap day at work so I just needed to relax, so for tonight I chose a film night. While I was at work today I noticed that the library had ‘Kingsman Secret Service’ I had seen this advertised a few months ago and like the look of it , so when i saw it I grab it and booked it out.
My 2nd choice of film was ‘The hand that rocks the cradle’ a classic 1992 film which was on BBC 1 earlier on this week which I recorded. I’ve seen this film a few times but its an oldie!!
Have a FAB weekend all
This post is a little late, honestly i forgot that i had started a draft post!!!!
I had a day in the Big Smoke on Sat 18th April 15 for my friends birthday celebrations. Her and her cousin went to watch Wicked the musical while I went off on my own for a few hours.. I heard a few good things about the Egyptian & Mummies section at the British Museum, so off I went.. I wasn’t sure what to expect of the museum, I thought it would be a little like The Natural History Museum, a grand old entrance. But to my surprise it was a large space which was light & airey..
The outside of the build to me is deciding to what you think it’s going to look like inside…
The main reason for me going to the British Museum was the Egyptians, as I’d heard that the mummies were quite impressive, so as soon as I arrived I head to the rooms which these were located. My 1st impression? I wasn’t very impressed, but as I went further round the rooms which they were in it become more interesting..
After wondering around the Egyptian section I made my way to the Roman Empire section, i headed this way what with visiting Rome last year, i wanted to see more of the culture and history that the British Museum had to offer.
Roman History Section
There were a number of other sections to browse around but i was only interested in the Egyptians and the Romans. As i was heading out of the Museum i spotted a statue from A night at the museum… The Easter Island Statue!!!!
Well hope you enjoyed this late post….
