Pure Gel by New Look

New Look now have a range of Gel Polishes out, only a few colours at the moment but I’m sure this will increase in time.I have brought 3 of the colours – 15/Biscuit, 78/Magenta and 67/Burgundy as well as a gel top coat 90/Crystal.

I have used number 15 & 78 as well as the top coat in crystal.  They are nice colours, but with colour 15 I had to put a couple of coats on to get the colour effect of what you see, its a nice neutral colour.  With number 78 I put 2 coats, but I did my toes and it turned out nice I still have to try number 67, I’ll keep you posted when I do

Trend: Frayed Jeans

Frayed jeans.  This trend has gone full circle, like most trends we have seen over the last few years, I mean I have issues with leg lengths on jeans.  As I’m 5’4 and I have short legs I have to get a short leg in jeans, I tend to buy most of my jeans from Dorothy Perkins as they fit my lower frame better than New Look, Primark and H&M.  But I have noticed even though I have brought a short leg it is still long on me so I call them my short long leg jeans.

So what I decided to do with one pair of my Casey jeans was to cut an 1.5inch off the bottom of the jeans, as this was the perfect length. The below pictures show the fraying process..

I have recently brought a pair of high waisted skinny jeans 29 inc leg from New Look which is perfect and I am surprised at the fit, as they fit perfect!  I have also washed them a few times and the black color has stayed and no fading at the minute so i think I will be making another purchase soon of these.  There are also some ankle grazer’s which I’d like to try to see if they fit the same.

What is your opinion on Frayed Jeans??

Macmillan South Downs Mighty Hike Weekend

It’s Monday and I’m aching, sore and stiff in some places. Why I hear you ask?  The answer is because on Sat 11th June 2016, I completed the South Downs Way Mighty Hike from Brighton to Eastbourne in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.  Before I completed this hike the furthest I had walked was 7.5 miles round the local rowing lake in Peterborough so completing the 26 miles was a massive achievement for myself.

I chose to do a mighty hike this year instead of a coffee morning as I wanted to challenge myself and make my dad proud, as it was 4 years this year on 2nd June that he has been gone.  The sponsors have been coming in and some people have been very generous, I am currently sitting at Β£829 in total (Just Giving/Text or Cash) I’m only Β£171 away from Β£1000 which I would love to hit so I’m hoping over the next few days I will get a few more sponsors in!!

If you would like to donate the details are below:

http://www.justgiving.com/rini or Text: STEA67 with the amount to 70070

(please leave your name when donating so I can thank you on my facebook/just giving page)

I DID IT!!!!!

Here I am with my champers and medal!!!

This was a happy sight to see… Mile 26!!!

The Seven Sisters

Some of the scenery that I saw along this hike was stunning and breathtaking. England has some most beautiful places to visit, and the south down way is defiantly one area to visit, there are different parts of it you can walk and pick up more or less anywhere along the way.  The Seven Sisters country park is a lovely area to visit also, some of the views you get of the English Channel are beautiful, and on a good day you can see quite far out. But beware of the cliff edge as it isn’t fenced off.

So if you would like to donate to a fantastic charity the details are above… And I’m signing up to another before the end of Aug for 2017…

Living the High Life πŸ’•

Bank holiday Monday my friend Cheryl & I went to London for the day…

On our ‘to do list’ for the day was Sky Garden, The Shard, a few vino’s & then a meal at Bella Italia in The Strand. We arrived in London just past 11am and we headed to the new area of Kings Cross/St Pancreas, we stumbled across Vinotea, this is a lovely restaurant, light, welcoming industrial space. We looked over the brunch menu and the whole brunch menu sounded delish! We started with a Melon Bellini, and then a posh Sausage Roll and a fried duck egg, and I would have to say the brunch was delish…

After we finished brunch we headed towards Bank on the tube to get to the Sky Garden which we were booked in at 1pm, I’ve seen so many people’s pictures of this place and it looks lovely and its also FREE, yes I said FREE to get in you just need to book a time slot online. You go to the 35th Floor for the and have some amazing views of London, there are frosted silhouettes on the glass to show you what is in the area you are looking out at. Just look at some of the views..

Inside the Sky GardenWe left the Sky Garden just before 3pm as we were booked into the Shard at 3:30pm.  There are some great views of London on the 69th & 72nd floor in the Shard, but in my honest opinion I prefer the Sky Garden, as you have places to sit down, the atmosphere was better and its FREE to get in!!

Here are a few pictures from the Shard
